Peanut Butter Cake With Hubs Peanut

Have you ever heard of Peanut Butter Cake, this dessert from America is very delicious and everyone's love it. With a classic taste sensation that gives its own taste to your loved ones, here is a peanut butter cake recipe using Hubs Peanut Duo for a more tempting taste sensation.

 INGRIDIENTS

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour 
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 stick, or 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  •   1 cup water
  •   1/2 cup creamy peanut butter.
  •   1/2 cup vegetable oil
  •   2 large eggs at room temperature
  •   1/2 cup room temperature buttermilk
  •   1 tsp vanilla extract
  •   1 stick, or 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  •   1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  •   6 tbsp buttermilk, you may need a little more touch up if your frosting is too stiff
  •   1 tsp vanilla extract
  •   3 cups sifted confectioner's sugar
  •   decoration
  •   1/2 cup roasted peanuts

 INSTRUCTIONS

  1.  Preheat oven to 350F
  2.  Spray a 9x13 pan.
  3.  Mix flour, sugar, baking soda and salt, set aside.
  4.  Heat the butter and water in a medium/large saucepan until it boils. Turn off the heat and add the peanut butter and oil until smooth. Let it cool for a few minutes, then add the eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla until well combined.
  5.  Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, and mix until smooth.
  6.  Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Place the cake on a cooling rack while you are making the frosting.
  7.  To make the frosting, place the butter, peanut butter, and buttermilk in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  8.  Add one cup of vanilla and powdered sugar over low heat, stirring constantly, before pouring the cake.

Note: if your frosting is very stiff and won't pour, add a little buttermilk to thin it out. Pour the hot frosting over the warm cake, working quickly as the frosting forms immediately. Spread evenly over the cake. Garnish with Hubs Peanut Duo.
